Summer Research Opportunities

Summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program

Undergraduates are invited to apply for a ten-week research program hosted by Georgia Tech School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EAS) during the summer months.

Click here to learn more about Summer REU.

Rutt Bridges Award

This award was established by EAS graduate Rutt Bridges, to allow undergraduate students the freedom to undertake their own research project, in a direction that leads to a publication under the mentorship of
EAS faculty. The idea behind this initiative is to emulate the undergraduate experience that helped Rutt Bridges prepare for his success in industry.

President's Undergraduate Research Awards (PURA)

President's Undergraduate Research Awards (PURA) fund student salaries to conduct undergraduate research with Georgia Tech faculty and offset travel expenses for undergraduates to present their research at professional conferences. Between two hundred and three hundred competitive awards are offered each year.
