With goals to boost science, engineering, and computing Ph.D. researchers from underserved populations, UCEM grows in 2023 to include students from Schools of Biological Sciences, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Mathematics, and Physics.

In 2022, all six schools in Georgia Tech's College of Sciences will offer a summer NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program. Students attending this year's REUs recount what they learned, and how it will impact their academic careers.

NSF REUs, a new community college initiative, conferences and workshops offer ample opportunities for students — current, prospective, and visiting — to hone their research skills in the College of Sciences.

This fall, the College of Sciences will debut three new minors, a new Ph.D. program, and a new “4+1” B.S./M.S. degree program.
